A simple energy drink recipe to replace them includes: 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice, 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 ½ to 2 cups fresh water, 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt, and 2 tablespoons natural sugar or honey, to taste. Toss everything into a food blender and blend until the honey is dissolved. The Quick Fix.
The breakfast standby, milk, is usually a healthful breakfast drink. Stick with an 8-ounce serving of either skim or soy milk to keep your breakfast low-calorie and low-fat. One glass of fortified skim milk has about 80 calories, 8 grams of protein, 0.2 grams of fat and 30 percent of a recommended daily intake for calcium.
