Table salt and salty sauces or condiments must be avoided as seasonings. Unsalted rather than regular salted butter should be used on rice or vegetables.
Fruits and vegetables are naturally low in sodium. Eat a serving of fresh berries, melon, apples, oranges or grapefruit as a low-sodium breakfast idea.
