3. Heat a small amount of coconut oil or avocado oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped chicken. Brown the chicken, stirring occasionally, until a great deal of liquid comes out, about 5 minutes. You don't need to cook the chicken all the way through - you're simply cooking out the liquid. Strain the liquid from the chicken, then add the chicken to the skillet with the vegetables.
4. Add the remaining ingredients (including the rest of the coconut milk) except for the lime wedges and basil to the skillet with the vegetables and chicken. Stir well and bring to a full boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cover. Cook 15 minutes, then uncover and continue cooking another 8 to 10 minutes, until curry has thickened and chicken is cooked through.

2. Pour the blended BBQ sauce mixture into a saucepan over medium heat, heating gently until the bbq sauce comes to a simmer. Add the bacon fat and stir until it melts and combines evenly with the bbq sauce.
3. Reduce the heat so that the BBQ sauce simmers gently but doesn’t boil or splash and cook, stirring gently, until the sauce thickens and darkens to a rich, deep brown hue. Don’t worry about the foam that you may see on the top of the sauce at the beginning – just keep stirring regularly and it will dissipate as the sauce cooks, reduces and thickens. If you like your BBQ sauce with a bit more tanginess, add additional apple cider vinegar, to taste, then cook for an additional 5 minutes at the end.
4. Pour the finished nightshade free BBQ sauce carefully into jars to cool. You can keep the BBQsauce in the fridge for up to 2 months. You can use it straight from the fridge as a marinade, but you’ll want to gently reheat it to use on the side as the bacon fat will re-solidify when chilled.

Add 3 cups of bone broth. Bring to a boil, and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are mostly cooked.
3. Use an immersion blender to carefully puree the vegetable and broth mixture to your liking - you can leave a few chunks in there or make it completely smooth.
4. Add the ground beef back to the pot, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and continue cooking until the broth thickens and the vegetables and ground beef are fully cooked. Add up to ½ cup more water or broth, if you like a thinner chili.

1. Saute the onions in the coconut oil (or water) on medium heat in a large sauce pot until translucent and soft. Add the garlic and cook another minute but be careful to not let it burn.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the sauce pot, let everything come to a boil, then let simmer until the sweet potatoes are soft (about 25 minutes). You can also add everything to the crockpot after sauteing and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
3. If dehydrating, remove from heat and spread thinly and evenly on a jelly roll sheet in your dehydrator. If you want to hasten the drying process you can put the chili through the food processor first. Let dry 12-14 hours on the fruit/vegetable setting (135 degrees). Check on it about half way through and when you can pick it up, flip and dry the other side.
4. When you are able to break the chili up into small pieces and can see that everything is dry through, divide it up into 6 equal portions and add extra dried foods you enjoy like mushrooms, sausage, or cilantro.
