Some really good juices for juice fasting are apple, beet, cabbage, carrot, celery, citrus, cucumber, grape, and "green drinks" from leafy greens, including wheat grass.
For example, you may eat cooked, minced meat and light flaked tuna in the first few days after breaking a juice fast. Start with small quantities to see how your body reacts. Your post-cleanse diet may also include soft foods like: Smoothies and protein shakes may serve as your best allies after breaking a fast, and a good source of nutrition.
Cleanse: For the one to three days of the actual cleanse, it is recommended to drink at least 32 ounces of juice or smoothie with at least half being green vegetable juice. After the fast: Once the fast is over, it is recommended to eat lightly for a few days, gradually adding foods back in over the course of several days.
Another great way to begin fasting is with a five day cleanse. Start day one by doing just fruits, vegetables, salads, and fresh juice. Then on days two, three, and four, do a juice fast, consuming nothing but fresh juice, herbal teas and vegetable broth if you so choose. On day 5, go back to fruits and vegetables along with fresh juice.
