Instructions Preheat the oven to 375°. Mix together the two sugars. Mix the softened butter into the sugar in globs. Mix in the eggs one at a time. Measure and mix in the vanilla, salt, and baking soda. Add the flour all at once. Add the chocolate chips all at once and use a folding motion to incorporate them into the batter.
Mix in the oil, butter or margarine, baking soda mixture and cream of tartar. Stir in the vanilla, oatmeal, coconut or chopped nuts, corn flakes and flour. Make small balls and flatten them with a greased and flat bottomed glass. Bake 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for about 12-15 minutes.
