Dress up burgers, hot dogs and more with fun and fast toppings from Food Network Magazine. Mix 1 cup ketchup, the juice of 1 lime and 2 teaspoons five-spice powder. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 1/4 cup minced onion in a saucepan with 1 tablespoon butter until soft, 3 minutes.
Combine a 12-ounce can of root beer, 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup each lemon juice and orange juice, 2 tablespoons each barbecue sauce, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon molasses and 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger in a saucepan. Simmer until thick, stirring, 45 minutes.
Place the seeds and soaking liquid in a blender or food processor with the mustard powder, vinegar and sea salt. Process to a paste consistency. Put in a glass jar, cover and refrigerate for about 4 days before serving. A relish is usually a preparation of fermented fruits or vegetables used as a condiment.
