Frequently Asked Questions

How do you make cake popsicles in the freezer?

Take popsicle sticks and insert them in the cakesicles. Place the mold in the freezer for 30 minutes. When chilled - carefully bend the popsicle mold to remove each cakesicle. Continue to make more with the remaining cake pop mixture. Keep the prepared popsicles in the freezer until ready to use.

What is a cake Popsicle?

Cakesicles are also called cake pop popsicles or cake lolly popsicles. They’re a gorgeous upgrade on traditional cake pop, but instead of a small round cake ball, you get a bigger dose in the form of a cute popsicle lolly. I always think they look like mini Magnum ice creams!

How to make a cake pop cake?

Crumble the cake in a bowl, food processor, or stand mixer with the paddle attachment. Add half the frosting and combine well. Then, add just enough frosting, so that when you squish some cake pop mixture in your hands it holds its shape. Take a small amount of cake pop mixture and make a ball. Making a ball gives a smoother finish without gaps.

How do you make cake molds with Popsicle sticks?

The first I call the dipping method. This works well with the smaller cakesicle mold. Take your mold and then press in enough cake mixture to fill it up to the top, pack it in tight, but don't overdo it, just until it is level on the top. Then gently slide in the popsicle sticks that come with it.
